What educators are saying

This has been a great resource to use as an intervention for some of my struggling readers. It is fun and simple enough that they enjoy doing it independently.
This was a great resource that my students really enjoyed using. It made teaching this standard a breeze.

    Description

These highly supportive Boom Decks™ are designed as teaching decks, to help students learn letters and letter sounds. Letter identification and sounds are systematically and explicitly taught.

Full voice support is provided. Students who are familiar with Boom Cards will generally be able to complete these decks independently.

Because each deck is set up as a teaching deck, students do not need to know the letter or sound before working through the deck.

While learning each letter, students are also introduced to important concepts of print to support their early reading skills. These decks align with the Science of Reading.

These interactive Boom Cards™ make learning fun! They are ideal for both distance learning and use in the classroom.

Each Deck Includes at Least 25 Cards Featuring:

★ Introduction to the uppercase letter

★ Introduction to the lowercase letter

★ Introduction to the letter sound

★ Sound discrimination with the featured sound

★ Selecting items that begin with the sound

★ Upper and lowercase letter identification

★ Simple sentence: Intro sentence versus picture

★ Find the uppercase letter at the beginning of the sentence

★ Find the lowercase letter in the word

★ Introduce the period at the end of the sentence

    ★ Second sentence for reinforcement

★ Review letter identification and concepts of print

    ★ Letter discrimination: Uppercase letter

    ★ Letter discrimination: Lowercase letter
