What educators are saying

These are good! I usually use the week all at once vs. daily. I would recommend it that way, unless you see the group every day, of course! Using a week all at once makes more sense for my purposes.
LOVE IT! As always, ParfaitmentBilingue has a wonderful resource, easy to use and no modifications needed! It's been updated this year as well, so the links all work, and she added a sheet with all the targeted grammer and themes throughout the year (when you buy the bundle). So worth the money!!

    Description

Our students are often distracted at the beginning of class... And we waste time (and energy!) trying to get them focused enough to learn.

Have your French Immersion class ready, focused and tapped into their French speaking side with these ready made Bell Ringers (for the entire year!)

Each week has an engaging and relevant theme for your students to make it easy to get them to work; each day focuses on an element of language learning, reading, writing, speaking, listening (with songs and videos) and of course, grammar, for them hone in on each skill.

Update Feb 2022: This resource has gotten a major update! New themes, link corrections, a master list of each week and a Google slides version.

    This resource includes:

    • Daily questions: 400 total for 40 weeks of instruction to get your students right to work at the beginning of class.
    • Slides with questions and answer keys when required (both Keynote and Powerpoint versions included.) Each week has its own theme, with a different daily focus: grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking are included each week so you can be sure you're touching on each language skill.
    • Student handouts to go with the slides so your students can work independently.
    • Fun weekly themes such as popular songs and short clips to keep kids engaged.

    How to use this resource:

    1. Use this as a Bell Ringer activity or use each week's theme as a lesson plan (great for sub days or on days that you're short a lesson!).
    2. Set up your tech. You will need access to a projector, speakers and the internet to use this product. The listening portion of activities are available online through YouTube and other platforms.
    3. Share the week's hand out with your students.
    4. You're ready to go!

    What teachers are saying:

"This is an amazing way to start our day! Stress free, all planned and presented so well. The kids are enjoying it and actually participated in the discussion piece at the end of the week! I had been testing with the free sample (le déménagement and les chats) and it was so great, I had to buy the bundle. Perfect little 10-15 minute activities to start the day en français!" - Mme Tec

"Quick, easy and engaging. A nice start to the day, or after a natural break like recess or lunch. Gets students back into work mode without taking up too much time. A quick little diagnostic at times, too." -Angele

"My students were really engaged with these activities. You've taken the work out of it for teachers. This is a MUST-have for Intermediate Immersion teachers! WOW! MERCI!"

    FAQs:

Q: I can't seem to access the link. Is there something wrong with the file?

A: If you're using the PowerPoint version the link isn't as clear on how to use. If you play the slides and the links will be clickable or click the links in the PDF version. If ever you're still having issues, send me an email at lauren@parfaitementbilingue.ca and I'd be happy to help!

Q: Do you have an example so I can see what's offered?

A: I do! Here's a free week to give you an idea of the resource.

Q: I cannot seem to find the answer key for the questions. Can you please direct me?

A: In retrospect I can see how they would be hard to find! They're in the slides. After each question (if an answer key is relevant), the next slide is the answer. It's designed so that you can have kids correct their own work while you do a lesson in front of the class or so that they can correct on their own while you help students who need more one on one support.

Q: What grades is this for?

A: This resource was designed for grades 8-10. Some weeks are simpler than others and have been used successfully in grade 7 classrooms.
