Description

Here is a step by step guide for the novice musician who wants to learn how to improv on the 12 bar blues. Steps 1-6 are what you need to know before you can improv. Step 7 gives you 10 tricks to use to improv. The last page shows you an example of how to implement all these skills into an improv solo.

I use this method with my own students (6th through 12 grade) and they are getting solos in their jazz bands. Plus, they are using these skills for college auditions for jazz studies!
