Description

The World Bank, an international organization that provides financial and technical assistance to countries around the world, has announced the creation of a $2 billion-dollar Global Risk Fund. The Bank is presently soliciting proposals for how to eradicate all of the following global risks: Climate Change, Gender Inequality, Extreme Poverty and Hunger, Corruption in the Government,  Poor/Limited Access to Healthcare, and Safety/Security.

In groups, students represent a fictitious international organization that is competing for this $2 billion-dollar loan. Their task is to convince the World Bank (a.k.a. the teacher) that they have a strong understanding of your issue, a specific plan to address it, and compelling reasons why their issue is posing the greatest regional threat.
