Labeling Unit of Study from my Writers Workshop Curriculum Guide

This is one component of my K-1 Writers Workshop Curriculum Guide. It is an 18-day unit of study focused on introducing students to the use of labeling in their writing.

The entire year-long curriculum guide is available for download in my store. It features mini-lessons based on 9 writing genres (units of study) - including writerly life, labeling, directionality & spacing, functional writing (lists & letters), non-fiction writing (how-to books, all-about books), personal narratives, poetry, & ending punctuation. Mini-lessons include1-2 writing objectives and teaching points to keep you on track for a successful year. (Units of Study are based on the work of Lucy Calkins.)
