1) Lab Safety Escape Room- Topics include Lab Safety Rules, Lab Safety Equipment, WHMIS/GHS/Hazard Communication Standards, Product Labels, Safety Data Sheets. This lab safety activity includes eight escape room challenges, which can be implemented in a variety of ways. Each activity can be completed individually or in conjunction with one another, depending on the time available in your planning. The challenges could be used as individual, pair or small group activities. This is a print-and-go resource, requiring only pencils or pens, scissors, glue sticks
2) WHMIS Interactive Notebook- This 9-tab interactive flipbook examines the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) classification system including classes, descriptions, hazards, safe handling, examples, and pictograms. This is based on the 2015 adoption of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)
3) WHMIS "I have...Who has..?"- This is a easy way for students to review the components of the Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS). This is based on the 2015 adoption of Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). This interactive game is suitable for middle to high school students who are learning workplace safety, including lab safety or within career development training or trades and apprenticeship programs.
*BONUS* WHMIS Foldable- This 10-tab interactive foldable examines the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) classification system including classes, descriptions, examples and pictograms. This product is based on the 2015 adoption of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The content is similar to the WHMIS Interactive Notebook, and can be used as an alternative or substitute for the notebook, if needed.
