Description
Naming and Formula Writing - Ionic, Covalent
The purpose of this lab activity is to teach your students how to identify when a precipitate forms in a chemical reaction. It also provides great practice with naming and formula writing – students will use their lab data to write the name and chemical formula for the precipitate that forms in each reaction (17 precipitates total). Helpful teacher prep guide and great lab graphics make this lab easy for students to record their data and even easier for teachers to grade!
I usually use this lab activity as a "filler" to review naming and formula writing, or which I am doing my naming and formula writing unit.
This lab activity includes:
•Student lab sheet
•Lab Safety/Background
•Answer key
•Teacher Prep Guide
Enjoy!
