During the Aztec empire, there was a boy, Huitzilin, and a girl, Xochitl, in love. They asked the sun god to bless their relationship. Huitzilin died in battle, so Xochitl asked to be united to him forever. The sun god transforms her into a marigold, and Huitzilin comes back as a hummingbird.
