This is a complete Kindergarten Writing Units BUNDLE. The units follow a workshop approach while focusing on taking writing slowly by building the foundational skills of illustrations.

What's included:

• Illustration Unit: writers become confident in their drawing and coloring skills. Kindergarten students will learn how to draw with shapes and people with different facial expressions, hairstyles, and skin tones.
• Labeling Unit: writers become confident in their labeling and sentence structure skills. Kindergarten students will learn how to label phonetically by listening to the sounds they hear and towards the end of the unit practice writing a sentence with their labels.
• Narrative Unit: writers will develop a story with a beginning, middle and end.
• How to Unit: writers will develop the skill to write a how-to expository book through the entire writing process.
• Information Unit: writers will pick a topic and write facts about the topic on each page. Kindergarten students will create a table of contents, headings, and page numbers.
• Opinion Unit: writers will choose an opinion and explain their reasoning with drawings and sentences.
• Fantasy Unit: writers will develop a fairytale story with a hero/villain, magical setting and a beginning, middle and end.
• Poetry Unit: writers will be exposed to 4 different types of poetry: list, sensory, shape and couplet (rhyming).
