Description
This is a simple one-on-one Kindergarten Readiness Assessment to give students at the end of Pre-K or the beginning of Kindergarten! You may use this resource in person or virtually. I personally have used it during distance learning this year by presenting my screen to students. :)
This resource helps assess the following skills:
Foundational:
Writes name
Draws simple pictures
Listens to and follows multi-step directions
Answers questions appropriately
Speaks and expresses ideas clearly
ELA:
Recognizes uppercase letter names
Recognizes lowercase letter names
Produces some letter sounds
Reads common high frequency words
Math
Counts to 20
Counts 10 objects
Recognizes numerals 0-9
Recognizes numerals 10-20
Recognizes and names common 2D shapes
You may choose to assess each skill by asking the included questions, or you may want to use your own observations for some skills.

Teacher Preparation:
Copy and staple the teacher recording sheets (3 pages) for each child.
• In Person: Print one copy of the student pages and gather materials for counting.
• Virtual: Open the Kindergarten Readiness Slideshow and prepare to present your screen to students on your chosen video-conferencing platform.
