Description
This is a set of sorting, counting, and graphing activities for kindergarten. It's a great way to introduce young learners to the concept of data collection.
These activities involve matching, sorting, counting sets of objects, representing numbers, cutting and pasting.
INCLUDES:
- 5 different sets of sorting/counting cards (total of 50 cards)
- 5 graphing worksheets
- Answer keys
- Digital activities
After giving students a set of cards to work with, they will:
- sort the cards
- count how many there are of each object
- complete a cut & paste tally chart
- color a simple bar graph to show the number for each item
Each set of cards is color-coded so it's easy to see which cards go together and won't get mixed up with other sets.

These activities can be used in centers or in your guided math groups. They help students develop number sense, understand the concept of quantity, and learn how to visually represent data.
