Kids in the Kitchen Unit for children and teenagers. No textbook needed. The lesson plan page indicates objectives, resources needs, activities, provisions for individual accommodations, character education, and integrated academics.

I'm a former Home Economics/Family & Consumer Science teacher. My students in California and Alabama loved this Mini unit.

Included are:
Lab rubric.
Kitchen Safety and Sanitation Handout and Key.
Twenty one recipes are included. Some require no electricity, some require an electric mixer but no cooking, some require an oven, and some require a blender.

Time frame:
Kids in the Kitchen Unit can easily be expanded upon, or you may pick and choose which activities fit your needs. The Unit could run as long as short as one hour or as long as a week, depending on how many recipes you choose.

Who can use:
Great for elementary and middle school for fun activities to integrate science, math, and reading. Great for the following courses: Cooking, Home Economics, Family & Consumer Science, Parenting, Child Development, Parent Education, Life Skills, Craft, Activities, Holiday Lessons, and Homeschoolers.
