Description

Super fun and entertaining end of the year or cumulative project. I designed it for my AP Human Geography class, but can be adapted for any subject area or unit of study. Students will re-write one of their favorite songs to reflect concepts from the unit. It is ALWAYS something that brings students together and they support one another while they perform. Of course you could take the performance part out, but they have so much fun coordinating outfits and just being silly together. I even surprise them with a performance of my own and re-word a song to sing to them each year...maybe my horrible singing voice and embarrassing stage presence puts them at ease for their performances. It's a great culminating assignment and I've had a fun time modifying it over the years. The scoring rubric, with instructions is included as well as a PowerPoint I use to introduce each group and create a lineup. I've included the lyrics to one of the songs I've sung for them over the years.
