January Writing Center Activities | Free Write Choices

This January writing center was designed to make writing time during literacy centers a breeze! This product introduces students to seasonal vocabulary words, promotes student choice, and provides students with helpful tools as they become independent writers.

This product includes:

• 2 word wall posters containing 12 seasonal words each with matching non-fiction photographs

• 24 individual word cards

• Paper choices:

1. 2 seasonal list paper options

2. 3 seasonal lined paper options

3. 3 seasonal card templates

Directions:

1. Print word wall posters and laminate (These could also be copied for students to reference to in writing folders).

2. Print, cut, and laminate individual word cards and display them in a pocket chart or on a ring and display at your writing center for students to grab and use to help spell new words.

3. Print out paper choices for students to choose from.
