Description
January 11 of the Mystery Year was a key date in the development of X-rays. Algebra skills in clues for the puzzle involve solving problems by writing and solving equations, using variables to represent two quantities where one quantity is written in terms of the other, error analysis to find and correct an error in a series of steps, and logical reasoning. The clues for finding the year connect to the invention of the X-ray through a variety of problems dealing with unknowns.
