Italian Fascism Change Over Time

This set of cartoons compares Fascist Italy before and after Nazi Germany rushed in to prop up their Fascist state. Mussolini first appears as a new type of Caesar but is then portrayed as the Pisa Tower in need of propping up by Adolf Hitler. Excellent change over time analysis opportunity. There is one question each but more can be added. One refers to the message behind the Pisa cartoon and the other asks the purpose and intended message of the Caesar cartoon. This is best used as an extension activity or as a Do Now as it can be completed and discussed within 10 minutes.
