"Inventions That Shook the World - The 1980s" Video Viewing Guide

"Inventions That Shook the World" is a miniseries that aired on the Discovery Channel and details the origination of some of the century's most important inventions. Each video is approximately 45-50 minutes in length and would be a great addition to any CTE or STEM class.

The 1980s episode highlights the following inventions: DNA profiling, the Mir space station, the nicotine patch, the Internet, and the capsule endoscopy. Other inventions are mentioned in short clips, such as the stealth bomber, the intervascular stent, and Vectrex.

The video viewing guide is a resource that will keep students engaged in the video and is thorough enough to serve as a great study guide for later use. The 1980s guide has a total of 34 short answer, fill-in-the-blank, true/false, multiple choice, matching, and reflection questions with 42 available points. The guide is 3 pages long (the thumbnails above may not be shown accurately), and an answer key and time indicators for each segment are included.
