Description

INVASIVE SPECIES "MOST WANTED" POSTER ACTIVITY

Objective: Identify and describe an invasive species from your state, and explain why this species is a problem, methods to rid the problem, and the benefits of doing so.

Students will create a “WANTED” poster requiring them to include the following:
¬ Species Name / Also Known As (literal name / criminal name)
¬ Crimes Committed (specific damages done by species)
¬ Picture (drawing or photo)
¬ Description (key features, characteristics)
¬ Known Accomplices / Associates (How did the species arrive in your state?)
¬ Previous Home (Where did species come from?)
¬ Possible Hideouts (Where, in your state, has species been a problem?)
¬ Reward (for getting rid of species – benefits to ecosystem by ridding it of species)
