What educators are saying

Thank you! Sad that we have to do such drills, but thank you for making it easier to go over with younger children.

Description

Back to school and spending some time discussing & practicing safety drills with your kindergarten or first grade students? Looking for some visuals to help show the steps for practicing an intruder drill? Just grab a pocket chart and this resource.

This resource includes:

  • a sequence activity in color and blackline
  • matching pocket chart cards with pictures/labels
  • number cards for ordering cards in the pocket chart

The intruder steps are as follows:

an alarm rings

get and stay in a room

close and lock the door

make it dark

stay quiet in a hard corner

do not open the door

listen for the all clear

(3 additional pocket chart cards are also included to use if desired: teacher takes attendance, block the door, & stay calm) but please note these additional cards are not represented in the cut and glue sequence activity.
