What educators are saying

My 5th graders were struggling immensely with this topic/skill. This resource COMPLETELY turned that around and helped them understand and master the material. It was worth it to take a day out of the typical curriculum to teach this skill. This resource helped me accomplish my goal!
This concept is so hard for some students and having this resource really helped! The anchor chart is great for our notebooks, the PowerPoint helped guide the instruction, and the task cards provided great additional practice.

    Description

Teaching interpreting remainders in a division problem can be a difficult skill for students in fourth and fifth grade. It contains a powerpoint and google form option which is perfect for distance learning. This product helps teach the students the four different ways to use a remainder in a word problem while helping them practice their basic division skills. It has an instructional powerpoint to introduce the topic, an anchor chart to refer back to, and then task cards to reinforce comprehension!

    This bundle includes:

*Powerpoint instruction to walk students through the different ways to interpret a remainder with a chance to practice as a whole class

*An anchor chart to hang with the four different ways to interpret a remainder and when to do it.

*20 task cards to use in centers or a scoot with recording sheet (answer key included)

*A self grading google form with the task cards to be used an assessment instead of practice
