Description

This scavenger hunt allows students to explore websites using links, or QR codes, in order to answer questions about heat, including conduction, convection, radiation and insulation. This can be done at school, or at home, independently, in groups, with a teacher or parent, or in many other different ways to fit the needs of your classroom and your students.

This .zip folder includes a variety of formats of the internet scavenger hunt. Choose the format that best fits your need.

Format 1 – Type On Version – This is a word document, which can be typed directly on by students. In order for students to click on links, they will generally need to hold the control (CTRL) key on the keyboard while they click the link with their mouse.

Format 2 – PDF Version – This version is meant to be printed and written on. Students can have an electronic copy of the internet scavenger hunt open on their computer with its easily clickable links.

Format 3 – QR Code Version – This version is meant to be printed and written on. Students can use any device with a QR Code Scanner (iPad, iPhone etc.) to scan the QR codes and visit the designated links.

Format 4 – Google Classroom Version – This version gives you a link to a Google

Document and a Google Form. Both documents will force you to make a copy for your own Google Drive. You can assign these to your students using Google Classroom. Both give your students the ability to type directly on the document.

This internet scavenger hunt was designed specifically for intermediate grade students - in grade 3, 4 or 5.
