Interactive Word Wall for Middle Grades: Student Led Vocabulary

In my classroom, students learn 8 vocabulary words each week (for a total of 272 words a school year) – 2 words are ‘Teacher Choice’ and 6 are ‘Student Choice’. (You can adjust the number of vocabulary words based on your own discretion). Throughout the school year, my students submit vocabulary suggestions from their own reading using the quick and easy form found later in the pack. From these requests, I pick 6 words each week to include on the wall. The first 2 weeks of school, I pick all 8 of the vocabulary words as I ‘train’ students to use this system.

All materials can easily be printed on a black/white school copier or on a color copier if you want the ‘touch’ of yellow on each of the vocabulary cards. You must have PowerPoint 2007 (or later version) to download this product.
