Description

Your 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students can respond to their reading during guided reading small groups or independent reading using these reading skill templates. Students will use their motor skills to cut straight lines and glue the flaps into notebooks or on construction paper.

Use interactive learning to enhance your students’ reading skills and strategies with these interactive notebook activities. Your students will love having a more hands-on approach when it comes to responding to their reading and will stay involved when showcasing their knowledge during whole group instruction, small group guided reading, and independent reading. These are also great additions to your literacy centers.

Again, these interactive notebook flaps can be used outside of the interactive notebook, too! All you have to do is glue the notebook flaps on construction paper and this will create a really neat reading response poster display! The 49 flaps included are student-friendly and easy to use.

Pictures and suggestions for use are included to provide a visual for the interactive flaps. Blank flaps are also included at the end for teacher and/or student-created inserts!

Prep is low and super easy... All straight cuts can be prepped ahead of time with a paper cutter. This activity can also absolutely be cut ahead of time by students to help save time, too.

TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Christina T. says, "Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! The instructions are clear and there are visuals to see how the organizers and flaps are supposed to be used. The students loved the visuals. This is so amazing. The only thing that is missing is the lesson plans for me to purchase to teach with all these standards! Which I would expect to pay high dollar for because there are so many things to cover in all these interactive notebook reading flaps. Thank you so much for all your time and energy putting this together!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Marissa L. says, "This is a huge time saver! It comes with an ample amount of reading flaps that cover each reading strategy! Just print and have the students glue into their notebook and respond!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gina B. says, "This was an activity that my students enjoyed. It hit on all the important elements in a way that wasn’t taxing for my students.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jessica B. says, "This resource is very engaging and interactive to use in the reading journals. My students enjoyed the hands-on aspect, and I feel that they learned a lot in using this resource."
