Students can add subjects of interest to their country and present their one country to the entire class, or each student can work on each country!

What is it like to live in French speaking countries? There are many places all over the world that have French as an official language. For instance, what is it like to live in Benin, Togo, Comoros, France, and Belgium? Learn about each country through the eyes of a pre-teen/teenager!

I have consulted with people from many Francophone countries to depict life as accurately as I can. I hope my experiences reflect in the passion I have put into researching and portraying each country as a universe unto itself.

In this bundle resource, students will see 35 countries through the eyes of a kid from each country.

*GREAT INQUIRY PROJECT TO COMPLETE AT HOME*

**CAUTION: If you bought my other bundles about Francophone countries, this resource recycles pages from those resources, so don't buy this resource in that case**

Included in each country unit is:

1. A one-page introduction with the student and some things from their country.

2. A postcard written by the student explaining about their country.

3. A page of questions about the postcard.

4. A page for students to research and insert fun facts about their country.

5. One page template to design a travel brochure.

Teachers and guardians can utilize this whole unit to support students while they work from home.

Students From the Francophone World is a project-based language learning unit where students will utilize and enhance their English Language Arts, social studies, geography and problem-solving skills.

Studies have shown that learning about different cultures at an early age expands our horizons, allows us to be open to criticism, as well as to be patient and willing to consider other points of view. Learning about different countries prepares students to become better citizens in their communities, to become more empathetic, to recognize their own strengths and points of view and makes them open to new ideas. Furthermore, students will feel more confident and safe with differences later in life which allows them to interact in a wider range of social groups and feel more confident in their interactions with others. Another benefit is that students are better prepared for a diverse workplace which is necessary in a globalized world.
