Included in the file are 17 different reading sheet sets to help teach students about the history of imperialism:

4 : The Scramble for Africa : Teaches the reasons why European powers wanted to establish overseas colonies and the decisions of the Berlin Conference.
5 : The Conquest of Africa : Reviews the different factors which allowed European nations to conquer the vast majority of the continent.
6 : Colonial Rule : Covers the different ways by which European powers ruled their different colonies.
7 : Impacts of Colonialism : Students learn about the different impact of colonial rule on views of Africans, societies, and economies.
8 : Imperialism in Asia : Describes the establishment of colonial rule by the British, Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, and French in different parts of Asia.

10 : Imperialism in the Pacific : Reviews the establishment of British control over Australia and New Zealand and the takeover of different Pacific islands.

13 : Later American Imperialism : Covers American intervention in Latin America in the early 20th century.
14 : Decolonization in Africa : Students learn about the major drivers of decolonization following World War Two.
15 : Decolonization in Asia : Reviews the major reasons for the decolonization of Asia post war.
16 : Africa After Decolonization : Covers the different factors which have contributed to Africa's difficulties since the end of colonization.
17 : Asia After Decolonization : Compares the fortunes of different Asian nations since the end of colonial rule.
Each reading sheet comes with a question paper. There are also mapping resources to help explain particular lessons.
The sheets are provided as a complete set for printing as well as individual files which teachers can uploaded to their own class sites for students to access. There is also a folder containing images of the pages which teachers can use to make their own materials in google classroom.
