What educators are saying

One of those days where I just needed something fun. Found this last minute and am so glad I did! Will definitely be using this for years to come. Students loved this simple craft to add to their writing and it looked great out in the hallway.
This was a great craft and writing prompt. Students loved writing about what they would do as president and the craft to display it was so cute. Thanks

Description

Choose between three different writing activities to get your students thinking about what they would do if they were president! These fun writing prompts are great to use any time of the year but work especially well for Presidents' Day in February or Election Day in November. This resource can be used either as a whole class activity or for independent work in your writing center. It is fun to have your students share their ideas with each other when their writing is completed.

This resource includes the following "If I Were President" writing activities:

Option One: Have your children make this cute White House book. Inside, they will draw a picture of themselves as president and a picture of who they would choose as their vice president. On the back page, they will write what they would do if they were president. When completed, they will cut up the center and then open their White House to see their work!

Option Two: Have your children make the “If I Were President” class book to be displayed and shared in your classroom library throughout the year!

Option Three: Have your children write the top three things they would do if they were president!

I have included different styles of writing lines for you to choose from.
