Description
Idiom Posters with Pictures, Definitions and Examples. This is a set of 25 Idiom Posters which display common idioms, their definitions (both literal and figuratively), with pictures and examples with the idioms being used in a sentence related to the picture shown. Your students will have a lot of fun learning about idioms! This file is a wonderful tool for teaching idioms because it has idioms that are current and presented in an attractive format. It incorporates simple definitions and examples of common idioms. Idioms are very difficult for English Language Learners but the illustrations are a huge help for preventing students from taking the literal meaning of each idiom. You can also use it to make a bulletin board of idioms.
