1. Literary Text Review Synthesis Organizer

This graphic organizer prompts students to compare and contrast up to three literary texts by providing evidence and analysis of literary elements and key quotes.

2. Paper 2 Question Choice Annotation Graphic Organizer

This graphic organizer prompts students to carefully choose a paper 2 question and annotate it for full comprehension and answering of the question.

3. Paper 2 Claim Evaluation and Writing Graphic Organizer

This graphic organizer is scaffolded by prompting students to carefully break down a sample paper 2 question and evaluate the efficacy of sample claims. Students will then revise sample claims to fully answer a question and set up the structure of a paper 2. Students will then repeat the process for their chosen paper 2 question and generate their own claim.

4. Paper 2 Synthesis Claim Writing Graphic Organizer

This graphic organizer is scaffolded by prompting students to carefully break down how each chosen literary text answers a chosen paper 2 question. Then, students will use this information to generate claims in response to the question for each text (separately). Lastly, students will generate a synthesis claim combining these responses to compare and contrast the texts in relation to the question.

5. Paper 2 Outline Graphic Organizer SET

Set of 2 outlines: differentiated for student needs. Both outlines in the set are chunked by paragraph and contain prompts and sentence stems to support syntheses of literary texts. The outlines guide students in synthesizing two literary texts. The outlines can be applied to any paper 2 questions.
