Description
This writing activity is a great closure activity for students after reading Lola (Islandborn). Students do brainstorming about their community with their 5 senses then are scaffolded through writing an I am from poem. Students are given the opportunity to reflect on their own identity and share about themselves through these prompts. A sample I am from poem in Spanish is included.
