Description
I Am Thankful Books are a fun Thanksgiving writing activity for the fall! You can use these in Thanksgiving centers, as a November writing activity or as an early-finisher project. Three different templates are included, as well as blank pages, so you can modify for students that might do better with less writing and more drawing of "thankful pictures."
This activity is great to get students thinking of all the things for which they are thankful and fun to share with families over Thanksgiving break!

TEMPLATE #1 - The Turkey-Shaped Book
Each page of this book is shaped like a turkey and has a pre-printed sentence "I am thankful for....because...." It includes things like my family, my home, my school, etc. Students get to illustrate each page and there is also an "About the Author" page at the end. A lined page as well as a blank page are included, so you can modify as needed.
TEMPLATE #2 - The Half Page Turkey
This follows the same format as template #1, however it is in half-page format to save paper and create a mini-turkey book.
TEMPLATE #3 - Standard Half-Page I Am Thankful Book
Each page of this book has a pre-printed sentence "I am thankful for....because...." It includes things like my family, my home, my school, etc. Students get to illustrate each page and there is also an "About the Author" page at the end. A lined page as well as a blank page are included so you can modify as needed.
