What educators are saying

A fun and engaging way to have students practice putting books in order based on their call numbers - my students found this more fun than the electronic versions of sorting games we have done. Great for whole group, gets many students involved, and very cooperative.

Description

Get students up and moving and learning how to arrange books on the library shelves! This document includes 20 pages of library call numbers (10 fiction and 10 nonfiction - Dewey Decimal System numbers) to print out and laminate. Have students come to the front of the class and hold their call numbers in front of them (they are books!), and arrange themselves in order as if they were on a library shelf! Active, engaging, and social! You can also punch holes and tie a string around each card.
