Description
In this student-paced lesson, students will read through the information and then answer the questions. I recommend you have students work with a partner or in small groups when answering the questions. The Anatomy Lab is linked to books in Epic Reader on the different body systems. Students can use this as a resource when answering questions and as an extension activity. Sample answers and rubrics are provided with this lesson.
Accommodations: Student directions give students the information needed to access screen-reader support and voice-typing options.

NGSSMS-LS1-3
Use argument supported by evidence for how the body is a system of interacting subsystems composed of groups of cells. Emphasis is on the conceptual understanding that cells form tissues and tissues form organs specialized for particular body functions. Examples could include the interaction of subsystems within a system and the normal functioning of those systems. Assessment does not include the mechanism of one body system independent of others. Assessment is limited to the circulatory, excretory, digestive, respiratory, muscular, and nervous systems.
