Description

Easily teach students to code their own pixel art with this streamlined and kid-friendly digital project! It comes two versions: a pre-coded gingerbread house, and a not-coded version. You as a teacher can use the pre-coded gingerbread house and write your own questions, or use the included videos to teach students to do the coding! They will feel empowered and love having the ownership of their education. The best part is that you and the students get to make your own questions, so it is compatible with ANY subject, and can even be re-used. Every student can make their own pixel art and the questions will be unique to them. Once they learn to code with my video, they can apply it to new pixel projects.

What's included:

Gingerbread House - Not Coded - students will learn how to write their own questions and how to code the project. Great integration of tech and content!

Gingerbread House - Coded - - This version of the gingerbread house is pre-coded, so you, or your students can just go in and write your own questions for any subject, and then share!

Video: Troubleshooting common pixel art mishaps

Video: How to write your own questions to a pre-coded pixel art

Unlike other pixel art videos, these three videos are made specifically for a younger audience. They are extremely easy to follow! I used it with my fourth graders and they were successful.

Not only is this an amazing tech project for your students, it can also help you as a teacher! Once you learn the pixel art coding you can make tons of engaging projects for your classroom.

Please note - these pixel arts are not for re-sale. You may of course code the pixel art and make copies for your classroom as many times as you want, but you may not code the pixel art and then re-sell it on TPT or anywhere else. Thank you for respecting my work.

Want to really bring the winter spirit to your classroom? Check out this 20 pack of winter pixel arts! It includes this product along with 19 other designs, each with their own unique tutorial video. Every kid can pick a design that speaks to them, or you can use the pre-coded versions and write your own questions for any subject matter. You'll have pixel arts for the entire season! For my classroom these activities are lifesavers for those wild days before breaks.

The best thing is that these can be used year after year, because you can easily change the questions and make it work for any content. Most of the designs are winter themed so they can be used in your classroom long after the holidays!
