This product is a slideshow that covers How to Write an Email & Email Etiquette. It is a well of information that includes step-by-step instructions for the students, tips, advice, proper etiquette, Dos and Don'ts, examples, templates, and extra resources. The extra resources include linked articles, a podcast, YouTube videos, EdPuzzle videos, and infographics.
There are 60 slides in total. You can use as much or as little as you want in your lesson.
At the end of the slideshow, there are also two links for assignments (and an answer key!) that accompany this lesson. The first assignment is 13 slides that give student the opportunity to put what they've learned to use. In the assignment they evaluate emails, compare and contrast emails, fix poorly written emails, and answer questions.
The second assignment instructs the students to send the teacher a real email using what they've learned from the lesson. This gives them real-world experience in constructing an email to YOU! There are four different scenarios for them to choose from. There are 8 slides that include instructions, the scenarios, examples and tips, and a grading rubric.
This product and the accompanying assignments are presented in Google Slides. It will prompt you to make your own copy and are fully editable.

This lesson could easily take 5-7 school days to finish including giving in-class time for students to work on the assignments. But it can also be pared down to a shortened version as needed.
