How to Secure Your Google Account & How to Spot a Google Doc Fake

In this video you will learn how to spot a Google Doc Fake AND How to Secure Your Google Account in your privacy settings.

Many users are unaware that they are being tracked via GPS and browsing history within their Google Accounts. What if I told you that if you were logged into your Google account with the default settings on, that you are being tracked where you go? Seriously. For example, say you go for a walk in the park. You log into your Google account settings and take a look at your privacy, you will see an EXACT route of where you just walked in the park!

The video is broken up into three parts:
1. What is the Google Docs Scam?
2. How can I fix it if I've been hacked?
3. Additional Google Security Settings to Implement

As a middle school Technology teacher, I shared and demonstrated many of the same resources provided in this video. I hope this video helps you gain a better understanding of what just happened this year while also assisting you in helping others or yourself, if you have been a victim of this recent scam.



In the 1st and 2nd part of this video I go through several articles explaining the Google Scam of May 2017 and how to correct any issues if there were any.

In the 3rd part (7:55), I will walk you through how to secure your Google account so YOU DECIDE what settings are best for you.
