How To Read A Musical Score
- PDF
Description
How To Read A Musical Score is a practical approach to teaching score reading to your developing musicians. Beginning with the staff, your students will learn the basic symbols and terms related to; clef signs (treble, bass AND alto are included), beats, rhythm, notes, rests, half steps, accidentals, measures, bar lines, double bar lines, time signatures and key signatures. There is a short sample score that your students can see all these symbols and terms in action. That's just the beginning! I've also included a student 'Follow Along' that your musician can fill out as you move through this presentation. For your convenience, I've added an answer key to go along with that handout. Finally, I created a 'Student Reference Sheet' that your students can keep in their music folder as a tool for their learning!
