History of March Madness Digital Research Project

Your students will enjoy reading and researching about the history of March Madness.

I primarily use this as a gifted and talented as well as high achievers enrichment activity - for when students finish his/her work.

In this activity your students will read online web information, summarize it. Then they will sequence the history of March Madness as well as write facts and opinions and summarize a video. They will also create a tee shirt, write a letter, write like they are a player, write a commercial- then share it on Powtoon. This activity is wonderful for the 21st century classroom as your students will be excited and engaged as they practice identifying nonfiction facts and sequence key details in text.

You will need to be signed into your Google account. In this product I explain what you will need to know and do for setting up this fun activity in your classroom. I included direct links to help with this. You will need free accounts to Padlet, FlipGrid, Powtoon and Tweentribune. Students will need to be able to access Youtube.

Activities include sharing ideas with classmates, reading online information, completing graphic organizers, summarizing text, creating a recording, and collaborating with classmates. Students will also create their own story.
