Description

Learn and teach about the history of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Bible. This engaging teaching resource works great for social studies and Christian Sunday school teachers during the Easter season anytime from Ash Wednesday up to Palm Sunday and then Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Students will learn about the life of Jesus, his triumphant arrival in Jerusalem, the cleansing of the temple, the Last Supper, the trial of Jesus (Sanhedrin and by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate), the crucifixion, and resurrection. This part is all according to the Bible. There is one page that talks about the historicity of Jesus and crucifixions by Romans.

Then students will be introduced to the history of Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, and other modern traditions for Christians during the Easter season.

As a busy and dedicated teacher, it can be difficult to create a quality lesson in a short period of time. Have no worries, this presentation and trivia is not only useful and relevant but also a lot of fun and there is zero prep! This a great way to learn about the history of Easter and the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

What makes this lesson even more exciting is the trivia at the end. It is fun and engaging. Students will go away laughing. All the content they learn on the first half of the presentation will be tested in a fun trivia game.

This lesson doesn't just work for history and Sunday school class… it works for EVERY class! If you are a social studies teacher, English teacher, art teacher, drama teacher... this lesson can fit into your class, especially if it is the Spring season.

It is easy to use. All you have to do click on the linked file, hit “present,” then go! You could use each slide as a basis for further discussion and instruction as well.

This lesson is also great for distance learning. Send the link to students and they can learn the content and try to answer the questions at home.
