Writing Sample from the story:

A whistle sounds, and we are led back to our sleeping quarters. The outside of the simple barracks looks better than what they hide under the Auschwitz-Birkenau sign. Rows upon rows of wooden boards each hold three men in tight quarters; however, the men look more skeletal than human. The sweltering heat doesn’t seem to bother any of us anymore for we’d lost all body fat and are prone to be cold, even in July.
