The passages begin with a topic sentence, which makes it easy to find the main idea. There are AT LEAST 3 Supporting Details for each Main Idea, to make it easy for students to find those, too. Student answers will vary a little bit. These are great for 3rd-5th grade students and may also work very well for students in 2nd or 6th, depending on their levels and needs. The BLANK Main Idea/Details sheets can also work well with any other text that you may be practicing this skill with. :-)
