Description

Comprehension Placemat– Students will sequence the main events, provide an inference, tell key details and the main idea, and tell the author’s point of view.

Vocabulary Review- I have selected 10 key terms from the read aloud to review with your students. Print and easily display for a whole group or small group setting.

Writing Activities- Students will talk about what they are really good at doing, just like these women are really good at math. Students will also explain why they think it was important these women never gave up on their dreams.

Timeline- Students will cut and paste events from the story onto a timeline.

Character Descriptions- Students will briefly describe each of the 4 women.

Creativity- Students will draw the “perfect” airplane blueprint.

Research Project- Students will choose one of the four women to research (using the book, the internet, or other books). Then answer questions using the information they found. Afterward, on the back, they will draw their chosen historical figure in their workplace.

AR strips included for 20 students!

You could either print these items or add text boxes and assign a copy for each student for remote students.

Perfect for a daily read-aloud or a "book a day" challenge!
