Hibernation: Facts & Assessment with Boom Cards™ | Digital

- Internet Activities
Description
Students use this Boom deck hosted on Boom Learning to learn about 6 different woodland animals that hibernate in the winter. The first card answers the question, "Why do animals hibernate?" and the next 12 cards introduces the students to the different animals, where they hibernate and what they eat.
Each card that requires a response provides immediate feedback for correct and incorrect responses. Correct responses result in being shown the next card in the deck while an incorrect response provides a cue to try again. The next card in the deck is not shown until the correct response is selected.
Animals included in this deck: chipmunk, bear, snake, bat, hedgehog and raccoon.
After learning about the different animals, students identify the following:
Cards 14-19: The animal
Cards 20-25: Where the animal hibernates
Cards 26-31: What food the animal eats
Perfect for distance learning, early intervention, kindergarten, speech therapy and parents.
Concepts taught in this deck include: hibernation, science vocabulary, processing skills and labeling.
