Hebrew Animals Bundle - Hebrew Letter Sounds with Coloring, Tracing, and Games!

We are thrilled to offer you our approach to teaching the sounds of the Hebrew letters! To create engaging and fun resources we enlisted the help of a lovely group of animals. We got an animal for every one of the 22 letters, and through different activities the kids associate the letter with the starting sound of its animal name.

→Please note: Bet, Kaf and Pei are taught as making the sounds /b/, /k/, and /p/, respectively. Shin is taught as /sh/.

This bundle includes 6 different activities and a wall decor package! Included are:

♥ Coloring pages - A coloring page for each of the 22 letters, presenting the letter and its animal. Two versions are included: one with the letter sound and the animal name transliteration, and one without.

♥ Tracing and writing - 22 letter tracing and writing worksheets, with letter formation instructions, big letters to trace, and a matching animal to trace and color! 5 additional practice sheets included as well.

♥ Practice Worksheets - 16 worksheets to practice letter sounds with animal names beginning sounds. Including cut and paste worksheets and bingo dabbers worksheets.

♥ The Race game - An original game designed to help kids memorize the animal names - six names at a time.

♥ Memory Game - The classic matching game kids love in two versions: match identical cards showing animal and name, and match name card to animal card. Includes color and B&W options.

♥ Bingo - Practice all the animal names with this familiar fun game. Includes a color version to laminate and reuse, and a B&W version to print and go.

♥ Wall decor - An alphabet decor pack for each of the 22 letters and matching animals, including mini posters about Dagesh in Bet, Kaf and Pey, and the Shin dot. The entire pack is offered in color and B&W.

No mystery Hebrew words! Here is the full list of the words for each letter in the Hebrew Animals products:

Alef: אַרְנָב ahr-NAHV (hare, but kids can identify it as "rabbit" which is just what every Israeli kid thinks of when he hears the word "arnav").

Bet: בּוֹנֶה boh-NEH (beaver)

Gimel: גָּמָל gah-MAHL (camel)

Dalet: דֹּב DOHV (bear)

Hey: הִיפּוֹפּוֹטָם hee-poh-poh-TAHM (hippopotamus - now here's an easy one)

Vav: וַרְדִּית vahr-DEET (rosefinch - yes, rosefinch, it's a pink bird. Vav is a hard one)

Zayin: זַחַל ZAH-chahl (caterpillar)

Chet: חָתוּל chah-TOOL (cat)

Tet: טַוָּס tah-VAHS (peacock)

Yod (yud): יָתּוּשׁ yah-TOOSH (mosquito)

Kaf: כֶּלֶב KEH-lehv (dog)

Lamed: לִוְיָתָן leev-yah-TAHN (whale)

Mem: מֵדוּזָה meh-doo-ZAH (jellyfish)

Nun: נָחָשׁ nah-CHAHSH (snake)

Samech: סוּס SOOS (horse)
