What educators are saying

I teach third grade in an inner city school. We have a very diverse classroom both in demographic and learning levels. Students loved this activity.
Love this project! I used it as more of a fun activity (no grad). The artwork comes out wonderful each time, & it's funny to hear how the students put a positive spin on spooky details.

Description

UPDATED WITH A DIGITAL VERSION! {2020}

UPDATED WITH WRITING SAMPLES {2019}

This is a fun, engaging, and Halloween-inspired writing project. This download includes a lesson plan, writing booklets, and writing papers. The actual art project directions featured in this picture can be found on my blog.

There are several options for this writing plan.

You can choose from the Direct Instruction lesson that is paced out in an included PDF, or you can customize your own PowerPoint using the PPT file that is titled DI Customize Haunted House Lesson.

You can also complete the art project that is explained in my blog. Click here to access the link to the art project. This is where you find step-by-step directions on the art project and access to the blackline haunted houses.

Another option is to use the Haunted House writing booklet templates. They are in this folder titled Haunted House Writing Booklet. There are two haunted house covers and one blank cover for a student drawing. There are also two lined papers to choose from for your booklet.

There are also writing templates to use for the writing pieces. There are vertical and horizontal options, both half-page and full-page.
