Description

This creative writing activity is based upon the 14 mysterious pictures of Harris Burdick "compiled" by Chris Van Allsburg.

Students will use their iPad, iPod, Smart Phone or other device to access these amazing illustrations using a QR code. No access to the Internet? No problem! This resource has been recently updated to include the Harris Burdick illustrations as part of the PDF.

Students will use Question Stems from Bloom's Taxonomy to formulate deep, thought-provoking questions. They will then answer those questions on the Student Response Sheet.

This fun and effective activity could be used for Literature/Language Centers, Small Group Work, or Whole Class. With the use of QR Codes and Bloom's Taxonomy, students will be highly engaged in improving their questioning and writing skills.

Also included for your convenience is a digital activity I've created using TPT's very own Easel tool. This allows for students to answer the questions digitally. Just assign the activity and you are ready to go

I have included full-size Bloom's Category Pages with Key Words and Question Stems, full-size QR codes, as well as task cards for more individual work. I hope your students love this activity!
