What educators are saying

This resource was so great! My students loved doing this activity. It was very engaging and kept them all busy during our work time.
My students loved making these calendars for their parents. This makes it really easy to do! I always have a volunteer come in and make these for me so I don't really have to worry about it myself.

Description

Looking for a student made holiday gift for parents? This handprint calendar makes the perfect Christmas gift and keepsake item for parents that they will treasure for years to come. Not only does this student made calendar make the perfect gift for parents but it’s also an inexpensive, fun, and creative project for your students to make.

This calendar pack includes:

  • 3 cover options for your student's calendar books
  • 2024, 2025, 2026 & 2027 yearly calendars (Calendars will continue to be updated each year for FREE!)
  • A poem page about the child’s handprint
  • "All About Me" student page
  • Teacher directions and picture examples on how to make each handprint
  • 28 handprint poem page options (2 Canadian handprint poem pages also included.)

The handprint options for each month include:

January – Snowflake and Penguin
February – Valentine, Heart, and Ladybug
March – Shamrock and Leprechaun
April – Rain and Easter Bunny
May – Tulips and Chick
June – Caterpillar and Strawberry
July – Flag, Watermelon, and Maple Leaf = Canadian Version
August – Sun and Fish
September – Apple and Tree
October – Pumpkin and Spider
November – Turkey, Leaf, and Poppy = Canadian Version
December – Santa, Snowman, and Jesus in a Manger

To assemble the handprint calendar simply print the pages front-to-back on cardstock paper. Bind the pages together by using a comb binding machine, book rings, ribbons, or any other way you choose. Using paint, have your students make the various handprints for each month. After the paint has dried your students can color and decorate each month’s poem and calendar page. They can even add special dates on the calendar or leave it blank.
