Description
I spent a week creating, sampling, testing, then revising this curriculum in my 7th-12th grade public school classrooms. As a 13-year veteran California educator I wanted to make sure this was a quality and actually useful resource in the real-world-classroom. It's tailored to highly engage Generation Z students. I focus on themes and topics that matter to them, such as: social justice, climate change, and equal rights.
I promise you this resource is leaps and bounds above the other offerings in quality, usability, and value. I use it in my own classroom.
The differentiated assessments allow for non-proficient and highly proficient learners to both demonstrate their understanding per their abilities via the simple and fun Illustrated Movie Guide Worksheet all the way on up to the scaffolded essay questions for high achieving students.
So dive into the revolutionary world of "Hamilton: An American Musical" with this comprehensive, zero-prep lesson movie guide packet! I designed this to engage students by facilitating a deeper understanding of the musical but even more important, by also focusing on the actual humans and context of events surrounding Alexander Hamilton and his peers/family in the 18th century.
