Halloween Word Problems- FREEBIE- Addition and Subtraction to 20

In order to get students less anxious about word problems, I have included 25 word problems for Addition and Subtraction to 20 with a Halloween Twist!

Students have an opportunity to show their thinking using multiple strategies. The following strategies are included this unit:

-use a number bond
-use a number line
-use related facts
-fact families
-make a ten
-doubles +1/-1

These activities will allow students to see the problem in more than one way and help develop their overall understanding of the addition and subtraction, but it also helps build their number sense.

These word problems printables can be used as journal prompts, learning checks, morning work, homework, or even exit slips. In the pack they can be printed for notebooks or as printables to suite the many needs of our students.
