Description
Halloween is going to be here soon. There is no better way to celebrate Halloween than to tell scary stories. In this activity students pick from a list of unique characters, situations, settings and first lines. They can mix and match and then add their own creativity to make the story come alive. I've included a rubric to help teachers grade the short stories. This assignment is fun and can work with a variety of grades and levels of students. I've included the CCSS for grades 5-12 for your convenience.
