Halloween Game

This is a great game for vocabulary development, oral language practice and can be used in multiple grades. Students have to use language only to describe Halloween-related words to their team before time is up. They cannot use any of the 3 forbidden words on each card while describing the key word. They play against another team. This works really well in literacy centers, as a Halloween party activity, or in the whole class setting.

I can be helpful to make several game sets, laminate them, put them into individual bags, and break students into groups. Then students use the cards to play (directions are included).
